Ready for my close-up!

My inevitable celebrity status got a huge boost this week when my @CharCityGuideEx twitter page got a big mention on the local news. The @CharCityGuideEx page is what I use to pimp the articles I write for Examiner.com – you know the ones that are going to make me famous? Anyway, my sight was mentioned on Fox News Rising which is the morning news program for Charlotte’s Fox affiliate. Yes, I know it’s not MSNBC but I’ll take it! I mean jeez, I girl’s gotta start somewhere.

Samantha Badger (@SamOnCam) put the piece together to show her viewers the best places on twitter to find local attractions, restaurants, concerts, etc. I was number three on the list, which just proves she saved the best for last, right? Just say yes, it makes me happy, ok!

The best part of this whole experience is that something I did was mentioned on the news without the phrase “and police are asking for any information concerning this suspect.” Oh, I know there’s still time for that to happen too.

Seriously, I’d like to thank all my tweets and Facebook fans for reading my articles and launching my popularity into the stratosphere of early morning local news. You guys ROCK!
